| 35157 | 2002-02-12 12:08:00 | As for the practice of hot glueing parts I disagree with it. If you want to make sure no one has altered the pc and voided the warranty use a tag system on the case like on electricity meters. I have put my own pc together without glue and frequently travel on a road to the coast which during the summer gets very rutted and have never had a part come loose. | Guest (0) | ||

If units are getting smacked so hard in transit that glue is needed to keep the parts in place, you've got to wonder what other kind of damage that causes. |

As you sure know allot about Colin Brown. Are you also saying that due to the fact you work in the Technology industry for 7 years that you know more than say customers? How do you know that these customers have not also worked in the Technology industry for more than 7 years and know what they are talking about. You can't. The Customer has the right to complain. |

| 35160 | 2002-02-15 08:13:00 | As I said in the PC Company Again... post: I am in the process of taking digital photos of the hot glue / cotton etc, and writing a letter to geoff palmer re these issues and i invite anyone else who has witnessed these things to do the same. Hopefully with some evidence that is irrefutable something can be done. But the Quality Assurance man is right, instead of colin brown writing in this forum he should have instigated an audit of his company to try and find the root cause of the issue and endeavoring to remedy it, and even issue a press release on the matter. He should also be thankful that as of yet the matter has stayed in informal forums like this one, and has not reached the press... yet... Craig Bellhouse |

Maybe you should have tried buying a Gateway or Dell??? Open it up and find that HEY LOOK . . . . This has been hotglued too . OEM Manufacturers use hotglue to stop parts dislodging in transit . Nothing you can do about it mate . Its not worth slagging off a Company because of what you personally feel . If I had the chance id buy a PC from these guys . WHAT?? Youd rather pay hundreds of dollars extra for an HP or Compaq Piece of Sheit? I say if you dont like it . . . . Build it yourself . |
