35124 2002-02-10 04:31:00 You can try Trade & Exchange: http://www.trade-exchange.co.nz/

The internet ads are delayed, so if you want to be first in, you have to buy the magazine.

One problem is that most people's idea of what their hardware is worth is completely unrealistic. They think it depreciates by a bit each year like other things, not realising that the NEW price for the same hardware is constantly dropping.

So be sure to check the current retail for anything you buy second-hand - you may need to reset the sellers expectations fairly sharply over the phone.

35125 2002-02-10 05:11:00 You can subscribe to Trade and Exchange on line, and get up to date adds.

Also 'trademe.co.nz' is pretty good.

Next time you consider 'building a cheap PC', can I suggest you plan the ENTIRE project through BEFORE you EVEN start, as it makes much more sense, but be aware, cheap components never equals great performance, or performance at all, for that matter !!

Much better idea, save your dollar's and/or get a part time job, and buy new. It does not matter if you can afford only the lowest spec system advertised anywhere, the fact that it is new is all that matters, as for the next few years, you can upgrade that new system to something you want and appreciate.

However for this occasion, check out trademe.co.nz, as they have some good deals, but you really need to know exactly what you are looking for before you start bidding.

Much success with your project.
