| 35392 | 2002-02-12 02:15:00 | Hi I have a problem that annoys the heck out of me. I have over the years made shortcut icons for my desktop making it easier to access my programms etc, but recently after I have started my computer up usually 5 mins the icon start blinking. They also move when I move the arrow closer to them. I go to click on the icon 'my computer' and it moves around the desktop making me very fustrated. I have left clicked in the desktop space and clicked 'arrange icons' and then clicked 'auto arrange to keep the icon running all over the desktop. Can you help my computer discription is an acer Veriton 5100/128/20G I am running MS98 with 127.0 MB Ram 68% of that is free memory thanks Jeanette |

| 35394 | 2002-02-12 03:14:00 | ooops....sorry to have to say this but this sounds awfully like a virus....if I remember rightly its the Magistrate virus...my sister in law had the same thing. Have you got an updated anti virus scanner running. If not you can download a good freeonecalled AVG from www.grisoft.com | Guest (0) | ||
| 35395 | 2002-02-12 05:10:00 | Sounds like the Magistr worm virus. Check out this webpage with information about it, a picture of how icons look (see if it's similar) and info on how to remove it: securityresponse.symantec.com Hope this helps, Mike. |
