Just installed a CD-RW drive along with software. All works fine except on PC Stratup, carries on as usual opening the system tray, etc but then restarts automatically a couple of times before settling down. The CD-RW works fine with no errors. The System Configuration is currently set at Normal - changing this to selective and deselecting a few un-necessary programs does not help. |

try uninstalling software and reinstalling, turn of virus protection before installing, first check all connections, for a tight fit.sometimes a loose IDE cable can cause errors |

Thanks Dave, turning off virus protection before reinstalling seems to have done the trick. |
