| 35620 | 2002-02-14 06:58:00 | I've noticed this on a few win 98's, however I've just upgraded from Win 98 to Win XP Pro. My computer used to automatically shut down, however now I actually need to switch it off. I can adjust the timing on switch off in Bioss, but can't get the actually auto shut down to activate, and the Win XP help doc ain't much help. Any idea's? |

Go to Control Panel --> Power Management --> APS (i think) and check the box that says Advanced Power Management. Im at work on my Win98 PC so I cant quite remember the exact words but that should get you shutting down automatically. :-) |
