| 35856 | 2002-02-16 00:30:00 | Is there a free software programme to clean up the HD?there seems to be traces of an old programme on my pc.When opening a new programme sometimes I get shaddows or shaded parts on the screen.I am running windows 95.I was wondering if it could be caused by part of a programme that has been ininstalled.what do you think...Thanks. | Guest (0) | ||

Also 'del \*.chk' might be a good idea. If you still seem to have other problems, you can reinstall Windows without losing anything. If you have a directory 'C:\win95' with a lot of '.CAB' files, in DOS do 'cd \WIN95', 'setup' will start it. Otherwise you will need to use the CD. |
