35871 2002-02-16 00:57:00 Hello All,

Go to the link at the bottom of this post and download 'Zen'.

I test out alot of cleanup and optimisation software and have found nothing to compare with this, it does a myriad of jobs from backing up critical files to drive copying to cleaning out 'All' temp files including Index Dat etc, works on all MS operating systems and I have found it rock solid in my testing.

As an extra bonus if you read the Tweaking and optimising Windows. Doc under Docs in the Zen folder after you have set it up, you will probably learn more about Windows optimisation from this single file than you would in many many hours of searching.
Almost forgot it's a 425KB Freeware Utility.

Should stop you all getting bored this weekend.

Have fun

35875 2002-02-16 08:28:00 Hi Alan,

Do you by any chance know the web page i can download these folders: attrib.exe, deltree.exe, find.exe and xcopy.exe? I install Xen but the dialogue box informed me i'm missing these files. The webpage http.//homepage.ntlworld.com/mrx9000/commands.zip doesn't exist according to google.

35876 2002-02-16 08:40:00 Uhmm this has definite potential

Must say bit of stuffing around finding all the files but I must say I does work.

Now if only someone could enlighten me as to how to intergrate this into a shutdown procedure..

Good call Alan

35877 2002-02-16 09:14:00 Good program from what I have seen so far.....but it took my webshots prog and screensavers away....boohoo.....a bit of fine tuning maybe ????? Guest (0)
35878 2002-02-17 04:26:00 Well, it looks like it could be useful, however it appears it doesnt like my computer :-/

Running it, I can select the operating system, then the screen sets to continually refresh with 'Bad Command or File Name' displayed.

No accidental key presses, however the mouse buttons cease to work over the DOS shell window.

Any suggestions?
