| 36028 | 2002-02-17 12:18:00 | Windows 95 and 98 come with fax program on the disc. 95 gives you the option of setting it up during install, or later on, using start/settings/control panel/ windows setup. (assuming you still have the disc. Windows 98 does not give the option during setup, but is still on the disc. You have to look for it, /tools/oldwin95/message/intl/ However, As the first respondent to your post stated, the 'bitware' program is a lot easier to use, and also acts as a phone answering machine. |

| 36029 | 2002-02-17 19:34:00 | You don't mention which OS you are using, Win95 has it anyway, win98 it is I understand on the CD but you have to hunt it down. WinME does not have it on the CD. Winfax is a very good fax program but you will pay for that though you might be able to get it cheap at somewhere like cash converters. Bitware, been a while since I used that but it was good at the time ( and still is), cannot remember if it was shareware or not. Try tucows.co.nz and enter fax and see what that coughs up. Then there is options like Call Centre and FaxCentral, a search on google.com will find them for you. Check your modem disk, bitware fax was bundled with some modems and still is. |
