| 35937 | 2002-02-16 22:10:00 | Yesterday I installed Windows XP. Power management settings remain as they were with 98SE, turning things off after 30 minutes inactivity. Now however, the computer is going into a state where I can wake it only by rebooting. The only obvious symptom is that the green power indicator light is flashing away until I reboot, when it becomes steady as normal. Also I now notice that the @ key and the ' key have become transposed. What gives? Cheers |

| 35938 | 2002-02-17 08:31:00 | Hi Richard.Re the power Sounds like a hibernate is happening and possibly the start power button on your machine needs setting to turn off, when i press it.go start/help and support when open type 'power management' with no quotes in the search area.Follow the onscreen.RE the transposed keyb. it may be that the new install has picked up or mistaken some settings in the upgrade.could be worth a reinstall.Good luck.Alister | Guest (0) | ||
