| 36072 | 2002-02-18 09:34:00 | I changed to Q/silver about a month ago from xtra. I'm on the cheapest plan $19.95 pm which includes 10mb webspace & unlimited online time. And so far have no complaints. I have found the help desk very efficient and knowledgeable. I did read that they have just increased the cost of several of their plans but mine has stayed the same so far. Only problem I've been having is disconnections (sometimes) when idle i.e. stopping to read a web page for more than a few minutes. I haven't contacted them about it yet but might do so tonight. I'll post back the result. |

The disconnects I'm getting (2 or 3 a night) is one reason I want to move. Their servers seem to fall asleep every now and again too. I had a look at FreeNet's site and they say 200 free minutes a month and you pay after that but I couldn't find out how much. Also if I move I want to join an outfit that has a true nationwide service as I move around a lot. | Guest (0) | ||

Help desk has fantastic customers service, they email invoices, never disconnect if you are late with paying, I have to redial for connection about 1 out of every 20 which is an excellent rate. I get a free connection with Actrix but hardly use it as it's hard to connect and the connection rate is always slower than my Quicksilver connection. So I pay the $19.95 per month for hassle free connection. |
