| 36173 | 2002-02-18 08:40:00 | Win 95. Any time I try and open an exe file Word 97 opens. When I go to My Computer and and try and create an association for .doc files I get the response that the .doc extension is already associated with rjnfile. How can I reset all the file associations with the correct programmes. Even when I try and run regedit to try and find references to rjnfile, Word 97 opens and shows the exe file code for regedit. | Guest (0) | ||
| 36174 | 2002-02-18 09:00:00 | When you run regedit, hold down the shift key, and choose 'open with' Open it with 'program' (I think) and then hopefully you can do the appropriate tampering... good luck :) Erin |

| 36175 | 2002-02-18 10:12:00 | Another option is to go from desktop => My Computer => view => folder options => file type (tab) and like for the file extention and remove it from the long list of file extentions. Or before you modify 'regedit' back it up, the hardest part about backing up regedit is thinking of a name, and thinking were to put it, apart from that it is a breeze to save. |
