36114 2002-02-18 02:36:00 Does anyone know of a programme that enables one to write little 'Post -It' style 'sticky notes' onto webpages that have been saved to ones hard drive . I don't want to have to save the page as a text file just to allow me to add a few lines of comments or a reminder to myself to look at paragraph 5 or whatever . I sometimes save 20 odd articles when I'm researching something and being able to see at a glance what it was I was saving the article for would be handy . . . . I know that there's something like what I need as part of the 'World Book' programme but haven't come across it anywhere else . . . any help anyone ???? . . . would be greatly appreciated Guest (0)
36115 2002-02-18 08:52:00 Hi,

Why not just change the name of the .html file to something usefull, then, when you open it, you will know what it is about.

I am assuming that you are perusing files on your hard drive, rather than going 'back' and 'forward' through files with your web browser.

If you are just going back and forwards with your browser, you can go open the files in question in notepad, and change the text between the <title> tags to something more usefull, then this will display when you select where you are going back to...

Hope that helps

:)

36116 2002-02-18 10:46:00 Hi Chris

Just the other day I saw something like you describe, so I went back and found it.

Here's part of the blurb:

'Did you ever want to write on a live web page? Or add a sticky note? iMarkup allows every web surfer to create personal sticky notes with text, graphics and free-form drawings on any web page. With iMarkup never forget your thoughts about a web page. A Sticky Note allows you to enter any information in a post-it like note, directly on the web page. Or use the text highlighter to remember important information.'

And here's the link:

This is shareware (not freeware).

Thanx again for your replies .
