36580 2002-02-21 12:08:00 I have the original 20 GB HD and a 40 GB which has been fitted as slave. I want to install Mandrake Linux on the 40 GB and have Windows 98se on the 20 GB.How can I set up my system so that I can choose whichever HD I want to use.
Is there a program besides 'Stay Connected' that will help me to stop being disconnected by my ISP?
Thank you,
Don M

36581 2002-02-21 13:01:00 Mandrake will install LILO, which will let you choose either linux or windows at start up. Guest (0)
36582 2002-02-21 13:01:00 I would assume Mandrake would use the Lilo boot loader which would give you the choose you want. Lilo stands for Linux loader and you can boot several OS with it. Guest (0)

36584 2002-02-21 14:42:00 In regards to staying connected, just set your mail program to check for mail every 10 minutes, i find that is the easiest way to do it. Guest (0)
36585 2002-02-22 01:05:00 I find firewalls help you stay connected and it's also a good idea to have a firewall especially if you do stay on for long hours. Guest (0)
