| 36488 | 2002-02-21 01:09:00 | I can not get my display to change from 16 colours. I has a fault 'unable to find sys.ini' and managed to partly recover by starting windows (98) in safe mode. I have managed to fix most of thea ssociated problems but can not get my display to go beyond 16 colours and 640x480. I have tried reinstalling windows 98 and downloading the latest (RIVA) video card drivers but the display settings still dont change. Any suggestions please? |

I'll try the suggestion from Gerard in case it is one that I missed but every time I alter either the monitor or the card drivers or the display settings, the restart just changes them back to 16 colours etc. Mine is a Riva card too.
