| 36496 | 2002-02-21 00:22:00 | when I email my sons work PC and a few other friends, the words become what we have started calling Chinese. The text becomes an unreadable mass of numbers, rearranged text and signs. This is quite annoying but I can sometimes get him my message by FORWARDING my own message to him. As it happens usually only to his work PC and in rare cases to a few friends, we don't think it is a virus and my Norton would surely have detected it wouldn't it? My PC is an HP PAVILION using win 98 and has 10.2gig memory. Thanks ........Rick. |

| 36497 | 2002-02-21 09:49:00 | Problem with emailing chinese is you feel like you have to email again a little while later. Seriously, is this just because some mail clients can't handle rich text? In outlook (for example) you can choose if you want to send to some people in rich text in their address book entry (turn that off). I think outlook express has an option like this under tools, options (somewhere, it isn't on this PC so I can't check it). Give it a go, Rick. robo. |
