| 36712 | 2002-02-22 23:29:00 | For the past 2 years I have spent a considerable amount of my online time at ign.com particually cube.ign.com. and during that time they have introdised a subsriber service where you pay for acsess to extra news stories acsess to a subscriber disscussion board and stupid things like icons beside you name on the disscussion boards. Slowly they have been making more and more of their services and stories subscriber only in a bid to get more subscribers. I have spent many hours on these disscussion boards and posted over 300 posts but yesturday when I went to my favourite disscussion boards on the net (after pressf1) I found that ign have changed all their boards to subscriber only, with no warning at all. This really pissed me off. They want me to pay some ridiculas price like US$20 for a frickin disscussion board!!!!!! and where can I voice my opinion about this, well no where on ign cause I have to pay to make a post. I feel they have just lost alot of loyal fans espicially ones from the rest of the world (thats everwhere apart from america) and a board for pal regions (which they just introduced) will probably die now. This brings me to my point I am getting fed up with alot of sites on the net which seem to hook you in and then expect you to pay for a whole lot of crap, like free web hosting wich is no longer free (i.e homestead). My question to you is, are there any sites which have started to charge for stuff thats really not worht it? |

I wouldnt pay for a discussion board, but i dont mind paying a few bucks to sell something in an auction. | Guest (0) | ||
