| 36635 | 2002-02-22 03:02:00 | Is there a way for me to back up my e-mails? I tried looking for them in Outlook Express but there are no *.eml files present. I'd like to transfer all my e-mails to another hard disk and I was just wondering if that was possible. | Guest (0) | ||

Transferring mail in bulk? In OE5 and 6 anyway, File>Folder>Compact all folders. Once that is done do a search for *.dbx, note the location, go to that folder and copy to the floppy or CD, at the new machine, open OE>File>Import>messages and follow the prompts to import back in. Word of advise, don't delete all the messages off the first machine till you have successfully imported to the other in case it all turns to custard, been there done that. |
