1291141 2012-07-27 22:36:00 Several times recently including today (28/7/12), an error message has arrived on screen, saying:

"Adobe Flash Player Update Service 11.3 r300 has encountered a problem and needs to close."

It wants to know if I want it to advise Microsoft. I use win XP. Is there anything that I can do?

1291142 2012-07-27 22:43:00 Microsoft wont do anything, its not their product. Uninstall it then update it to the latest version. Its just been updated to 11.3.300.268. Its here. Untick the Mcafee option, you dont need it (get.adobe.com) If you have a different OS / browser, select it at the top Speedy Gonzales (78)

When you reinstall tick the option not to inform you of updates to avoid the problem you have been having.

1291145 2012-07-28 08:40:00 Should have written above: These installs are clean and will not try to install crap, just run the uninstaller with all browsers closed then install the two versions and tick the option not to update or advise of updates available, easy-peasy. zqwerty (97)
