| 1290974 | 2012-07-26 07:23:00 | Attemting to install Lubuntu 12.04 alongside a xp system. Won't go past trhe "Who are you" bit. I don't wish to have a password. The continue button is alluminated but won't do anything. Does it have to have a password? |

You will still need to enter the password to get root access to install software etc. (although I think you can get that over ridden too if you wish but that makes it alot less secure) A. |

Finished up having to install the alternate/lite version. This is on an old Pentium III with 500mb ram. Have been playng round & getting familiar with it. Been trying to get it on to my home network. What an act, bit like setting up win 3.1 |
