| 1267768 | 2012-04-01 20:36:00 | It has to be cleaned when fresh. Loads of cold water, soak the hell out of it, then sponge it up. Don't use hot water. Bleach would work but if the carpet is coloured, goodbye colour........ Now that it's set, soak it again, with lots of cold water, then get the carpet machine and go over it after, once you lifted as much as you can. |

| 1267770 | 2012-04-02 09:01:00 | Rug doctor? No, I'm with pctek - lots of cold water. I wouldn't trust any DIY fix such as rug doctor until after you've lifted as much as you can. Worked for me with a major spill of red wine. |

| 1267773 | 2012-04-02 11:19:00 | It's probably too late now as you may have set the stain but cold water and keep it damp until a professional like Jae or Chemdry can attend and extract. We've used both firms successfully to clean blood from flooring for insurance claims where people have gone through windows, been chased and attacked with an axe (!) or cut themselves leaving blood all over the show.
