1267758 2012-04-01 05:14:00 I've got some blood specks - quite a lot, and sadly mine, on a nearly new carpet. I've tried a couple of applications of a Bremworth branded stain remover but it hasn't been effective. Any suggestions please?

I thought of trying a baking soda and water mix, but thought I'd see if anyone has a better idea.

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies folks. The "howstuffworks" link is something we - and I emphasise we - already tried, without success. I'll search some more on Google as suggested. And I'll take the advice about not inviting politicians into the house.

1267767 2012-04-01 11:47:00 I believe soaking in cold water is the best idea - at least for clothes anyway...

Put hot water anywhere near it, the blood 'cooks' and then you have a bigger problem.
