36939 2002-02-25 02:38:00 I quote Graham Petrie:

Our resident reporter has done such a good job of reporting the latest and greatest news, perhaps its about time idg gave him? (still don't know your sex, but am just guessing) his own page on the PCWorld site to update regularly. :-)

Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely.

Robo's note: Sorry, I tried to delete out Mike's multiple responses and managed to kill the original post. Can't bring it back so this is best I can do.

As I posted in response, yes it has been mentioned, not sure what form it would take. We did do something like Tweak'e's news in the mag, not sure if we still do, can't find it in Feb issue.

Re: tweak'e news idea

I believe it has been discussed, but not sure how far it has got. It is the sort of thing that we used to put on a page at the front of the magazine (not sure if we still do).

Re: tweak'e news idea

I agree, its a good idea. Or perhaps a page where users can post news, rather than *just* tweak'e (although I guess tweak'e would be the most frequent poster)... perhaps selected users even.

36941 2002-02-25 03:15:00 I like the idea of having a tweak'e's news section. But I wouldn't have thought that IDG would be in to it seeing as they consider themselves to be the best news site.

36942 2002-02-25 03:28:00 Perhaps, but news like Tweak'e's is not the sort of thing they put in ComputerWorld, and PCW can only cover the big stuff.

I don't see a problem, but I'm not the boss.

There is major re-work in progress at the moment, it may make it in, it may not.

IDG isn't made up entirely of fascists, you know, only partially ;-)

Glad to cause you so much trouble, Robo.

I'm having computer trouble today - well, more connection trouble... I hate my computer... hate it hate it hate it.

there I'm finished now.

I think giving tweak'e a news page is a good idea. Go for it.
