| 36923 | 2002-02-24 22:46:00 | Hi, I read the news article about DDR333 RAM. Now I am just wondering what is the speed advantage of a DDR333 RAM chip has over a SDRAM chip in actual numbers (like DDR333 has a thoroughput of 2.9G)? And do all motherboards, that support SDRAM chips support DDR333 RAM chips as well? ==James== |

If you have a mother board that has SDR in it, then chances are that is all it will take. It is unlikely that the manufacturer would go to the extra expense of a DDR mobo, but put cheaper RAM in it. Check your mobo's user manual, but I would be doubtful. G P |
