| 36911 | 2002-02-24 12:58:00 | Hi, here's my problem: My PC keep crashing, it seems at random. What happens is the screen just suddenly goes completely black or any another color that is visible on screen. These crashes seem to occur at any given moment, sometimes they even happen when I just move the mouse slightly. This is not like other crashes I have ever seen, and when it happens I have to either press the reset button, or cut the power completely to get my PC running again. I have reformatted and even during the installation of Windows this happend. Again: this is not a case of everything freezing or a 'fatal error' message, everything just goes black, or red or any other colour. Can anyone shed some light on this?? |

A test is: when the screen goes all black/whatever_colour, press the Num Lock, or Caps Lock key a few times, and see if the LEDs switch accordingly. If that works, the computer is still working, and it might be just the video card. |
