The first one takes care of a security flaw in the XMLHTTP ActiveX control. For more detail take a look at Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-008. The second update eliminates a security vulnerability related to VBScript handling on systems running Windows 2000 and XP. Details are in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-009.
