2002-02-24 06:37:00 | I am using selida to create a web page. I want to insert a background picture that I have saved in D drive under My documents. But I'm not sure how to. Because everytime I go to 'insert image' I cant find the file. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! thanx

When the time comes to upload you will copy your folder contents to the web and guess what? All those trailing links to obscure places will no longer work. So... Open Windows Explorer, find the picture and copy it to the folder which contains your HTML files. Link to it from there. Incidentally, make sure the image is saved as either a .jpg or .gif |

2002-02-24 07:42:00 | Sorry about the multiple posts - my ISP gave me an error message (several times) saying that it had timed out and not gone through. | Guest (0) | |

2002-02-25 03:35:00 | Hi, im not familiar with selida, but if it lets you insert code then just put (img src='image.gif') replace the ( with < you can link it to your d drive so its (img src='d:/image.gif') that way it will appear in it when you look at it offline then just change it back wqhen you upload it. | Guest (0) | |
2002-02-26 05:31:00 | er.... Why? Making a link and then changing it is double handling and can get forgotten. Get it right first time and it's right. Relative names are just that - relative. Copy the folder to different places and it works in all of them.
