36851 2002-02-24 03:20:00 For a while now I have been having problems with image files on my computer.
I noticed that the icon for bmp files is that picture of the windows logo. and sometimes when I go to paste a jpg file (which has been asociated with quicktime) into word the quicktime logo gets pasted in.
I think I just found out what the prolem is I seem to be missing a file called PictureViewer.exe does anyone know where I can find it?

36852 2002-02-24 09:07:00 Your image files may have their associations muddled up. My bmp image files are associated with Paint, a program that comes with Windows, and jpg files can be associated with Internet Explorer if you wish.

If you want to change the associations, find a bmp or jpg file in Windows Explorer and while holding down the Shift key, right click on it once. A menu will pop up - choose Open With then scroll throught the list until you find MSPaint for the bmp files, then do the same for the jpg file, only choose Internet Explorer or whatever image program you have that you want to associate it with.

Don't forget to put a tick in the 'Always use this program' box.

36853 2002-02-25 09:27:00 I've already tried that and ticked the box and althought it opens the picture alright it dosent change the icon or help next time. I think the problem started when I deleted a paint shop pro demo maybe i'll re download the demo and see what happens Guest (0)
