| 36810 | 2002-02-23 11:58:00 | I'm using Xtra's Jetstart. Intermitten disconnections occur fairly frequently. Is this called 'micro outages'? I ranged Xtra's ADSL support and they told me that it is my modem's probblem and when I rang up Nokia (Ni500 router), I was told that it's Xtra's fault! Now, I'm sandwiched in between! Who is right and who is wrong? Any good suggestions? Cheers bk |

Telecom's reply was first, I had a faulty modem and most likely it did not have a telepermit and when I pointed out that there contractor had checked the sticker before starting the wiring, there next answer was that there must be a fault at my isp. Who's at fault. Maybe the isp once in a while, but most of the time it will be telecom. It is my understanding that after a long period of denying that there was any such thing as outages at there end, that they are might have finally conceded that there might (note the word Might)be such a thing as outages. |
