| 37132 | 2002-02-26 05:45:00 | Although I have turned everything off, when I try to defrag my drive, it gets to about 10% then goes back to the beginning. It says that the drive contents have changed and away it goes. I used ctrl, alt, delete, to id what was running, then turned everything off, except Explorer. When I tried to turn Explorer off, it went into shut down mode. | Guest (0) | ||

If you are unsure about getting into Safe Mode, restart and as soon as the computer starts to load start pressing F8, (depending on the make it might be another key but F8 seems to be a common one), at some point you will get a dos menu on screen and one of those options will be safe mode, enter the number that matches safe mode and press enter and once it finishes loading try loading defrag from the menu as normal |

| 37136 | 2002-02-26 06:27:00 | First download a prog called 'crackup' Put out by PC Mag - this will tell you if you need to De-frag. 99% of the time you will not need to. Search via Google for this. Bye | Guest (0) | ||
