37112 2002-02-26 03:02:00 I have a file in a folder which shows as SPIN_Selling.htm. I'd like to delete the file (and the folder it's in) but I get a message 'Cannot delete: File system error (1026)'. If I try to open the file it says it doesn't exist. Can I rid myself of the pesky thing? Guest (0)

Look at the above link for infomation though there is little to go on.

Have you tried restarting in SafeMode and renaming the folder and leaving it renamed till a later date to make sure it does no harm.

37114 2002-02-26 04:52:00 Check the file's Properties. It might be marked as a system file or something like that.

With a name like that it does not seem to be an essential (or any) part of the OS.

37115 2002-02-26 06:29:00 If I can't do it in windows I use MS DOS(prompt).

Do you know the commands?

get into the directory then type del SPIN_Selling.htm

37116 2002-02-26 09:29:00 I'm afraid I don't know the commands, but I'm willing to have a go. All hints welcome!

Maybe you could e-mail me a little advice?

Thanks for your interest. This Press F1 facility impresses me greatly.
