37037 2002-02-25 10:32:00 I run Win98. I havejust come across folder called
configg.msi that now holds 138 files( nearly 55 megabytes in total) of files. These files all end with the .rbf extension. What are they, and can can I safely zap the folder?

Follow the above link and scroll to the second article on the page and read that.
I would suggest that you do as the author suggests and rename the folder and keep it till a later date before deleting in case it all turns to custard.

37039 2002-02-25 20:02:00 Thanks Gordon. Looks to be the answer even tho' it refers to Win2000. Think that Microsoft should at least put in a readme file stating what it actually is. Guest (0)
37040 2002-02-25 23:37:00 If you're running win98 then config.msi probably means you have office2000. If so then this folder was created by the office2000 install programme and isn't really nessary to keep. Guest (0)
37041 2002-02-26 00:54:00 Thanks Gerard. Good diagnosis - I do have Office 2000. Good to know I can regain the space. Jim Guest (0)
