| 37229 | 2002-02-26 22:01:00 | I have to convert minutes to a time hh:mm format. I then have to be able to average those minutes. For example, 2000 must equal the 'time' format of 33:20. I have a formula for getting to the 33:20 number, but it's not in Time format and can't be averaged. Anyone out there who can help???? Thanks. | Guest (0) | ||
| 37230 | 2002-02-27 02:51:00 | Excel time is basically days.fraction_of_day so 2000 mins could be loaded as =2000/24/60 You can then use Format... Cells... Time... and choose something like 'hh:mm:ss' or try 'mmm:ss' then you should be able to avergae the set in usual way jt |

| 37231 | 2002-02-27 15:15:00 | ...thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that only works up to 24 hours. Once you hit 24 hours, it starts back at 0 again instead of going to 25 hours. I can't find a way to tell Excel to keep counting up, instead of going back to 0:00. Any other suggestions????? Thanks! | Guest (0) | ||
| 37232 | 2002-02-28 00:14:00 | I think you want the cell format to be [h]:mm Following extracted from Excel help on topic 'Formats for dates and times' Elapsed time in hours; for example, 25.02 [h]:mm Elapsed time in minutes; for example, 63:46 [mm]:ss Elapsed time in seconds [ss] Fractions of a second h:mm:ss.00 jt |
