| 37309 | 2002-02-27 09:05:00 | On starting up Windows 98SE I get the error message 'cfjcwki.exe file is missing'. Does anyone know what this file is and how I can restore it. I think it was deleted by my anti-virus software because it allegedly contained a trojan horse. Also since then windows will freeze on shutdown and not shut down until at least one blue screen, scandisk etc & restart. Any help with this would be appreciated. | Guest (0) | ||

(or find it using normal methods) look for the line starting Shell =Explorer.exe If the cfjcwki.exe entry follows explorer.exe this is the trouble. Delete it. Pay to search the registry and look for it in there as well. regards Don |
