| 37646 | 2002-03-03 01:34:00 | Have Windows 98 when fire up the box Welcome to Windows comes up, type in user name and password. Never set up password, so how do I set up a password or just make the computer bypass it which im sure it did before it was reformated? Thanks | Guest (0) | ||
| 37647 | 2002-03-03 01:40:00 | I am a bit unsure what you are asking, but I will help you anyway. To set up a password, just type a password at the log in box, Windows will ask you to confirm it. If you don't want a password, leave it blank, and Windows will never make this box appear again (unless you log off and set up a password). Click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Passwords to change the Windows password (once again, leave it blank to remove the password). Or, try the Users control panel, and delete every user to have no user accounts setup. Hope one of these suggestions helps. |
