37632 2002-03-03 00:33:00 Hello Alan,
Not sure about windows welcome sign, but if you go to your controll panel, internet options, click the connection tab, put a dot in 'always dail my default connection' click apply and ok, your computer will dial out automatically.
Cheers,

37633 2002-03-03 02:06:00 what os??

if its the big welcome to windows theres usualy a box with a tik in you can untick and it will stop it running at start up.

if its windows logon delete the .pwl files(this will wipe all your saved passwords), restart and follow the instructions which should be something like don't enter a name or password if you don't want to see this prompt again.

install 'cleint for microsoft networks' in the networking setup. make sure primary logon is windows logon(assumeing you are not connected to a network). thatshould ungrey the 'save pasword' option in the dail up box.

hope that helps :)

37634 2002-03-03 02:14:00 Tips from my web site
2. Remove password on boot up.
This may take a while at first to work out how to remove password, then next time you need it you have forgotten how you do it.
1. Go to Start => Settings (or My Computer) => Control panel => Network.
2. In 'Primary Network Login' box Replace 'Client for Microsoft Network' to 'Windows Logon'
3 You might need your windows CDROM as you close everything up.
This applies to not only stand alone computer, but also some that are networked.

37635 2002-03-03 03:48:00 Anyway getting back to the password when checking Email. From 'Outlook Express', go to TOOLS => ACCOUNTS => MAIL (tab) => PROPERTIES => SERVERS (tab) Incoming mail sever, put in your password and tick remember password.

I hope this helps you.
