| 38040 | 2002-03-06 00:46:00 | anyone have any idea what runs in windows me after about 5-10 minutes?? too me it seems like scandisk or de-fraggy its caused a couple of my programs to crash and i've lost hours of hard work thanks to it. |

You really should avoid doing anything serious or worthwhile on WinME, as the chance of losing it is fairly high. Do a clean install, or if you can afford it get a decent OS, like Win2000, steer away from XP too... If you can't afford it, get Linux, download it for free, or buy it for $30. I've got a Copy of Mandrake 8.0 I won't be using for a great deal longer, you can have it for $10 if you like. :) Erin |
