37938 2002-03-05 01:33:00 After a crash I took our home PC for repairs. After 2 weeks I was told that the RAM was u/s. It was replaced free but I had to reload all the programs. This went well except for Office97, it seems to have lost the Installer.
OK I was thinking of upgrading to Office2000 - we use it at work - but I can't afford the full version. The Student version will be OK except it doesn't have Access etc.
My question is would the upgrade enable the use of any of the former Office97 suite such as Access. Our IT man says it could work but I would need to load it to a different location.

Any advive assistance would be appreciated.

There is that student version of Standard Office XP, but there is also what they call an academic edition of OfficeXP Pro, which DOES include Access. However for this you'll need to provide a current Student ID card.

37940 2002-03-05 06:50:00 Office XP Professional (includes Access) is on special at Dick Smiths at the moment.

See: <www.dse.co.nz

Thinking of getting it myself.
