| 38212 | 2002-03-07 10:00:00 | I have an old dos game that I am quite attached to, however, i just tried to run it for the first time in XP... I get a message that says: 16-bit MSDOS Subsystem. The system cannot open com3 port as requested by the program, choose close to terminate, or ignore to continue. If i choose ignore, the same box arrives with com4 instead, I choose ignore and the program runs, but after exactly 60 seconds, it closes ubruptly. Is there any way to allow the app to access the com ports and thus allow it to run properly?? PS: trying to use the compatability mode in any setting results in no change in behaviour. any ideas?? Cheers, Jimbob. |
