38319 2002-03-08 10:48:00 a friend being in a helpful mood set up mutiple user profiles on her desktop ? win 98 or 2000, for the other users of her system` however not quite understanding how it worked managed to whilst making some adjustments - to delete her main profile and all files within as well as the others - is there any way she can retrieve those files other than running a recover utility - if in fact that will work at all?

secondly - which is better norton antivirus 2002 or mcaffe v scan 7

There's always debate over which is better, but in a recent review (it might have been PCWorld, but don't quote me on that one) over 100 of the most well known Antivirus programs were tested quite thoroughly.

To cut a very long story short, McAfee came third, after allowing a couple of viruses through, Norton second, letting one through (I think perhaps an unknown virus, but I can't remember), and an antivirus program called 'Panda Antivirus' was ranked number one best antivirus on the market, not letting ANY of the viruses thrown at it through, including unknown ones. All systems and viruses were the same for each antivirus program.

So you make your own judgments :)

38321 2002-03-09 09:45:00 personally i use norton 2002 and find it very easy and powerful stops most viruses and updates itself if you need any advice or help
