38501 2002-03-09 21:54:00 A while ago in PC World there was a letter from a reader wanting to know how to set a background to his email messages. I followed the steps that you outlined but now I want to get rid of it and go back to a plain, white background. I can do that but it defaults to the coloured background when I start a new message... how do I get it back to the original and keep it that way?

Thanks,
RL

Open Outlook > Tools > Options > Compose > when you have clicked the compose tab there will be a option on that page for Stationary, remove the tick from that and click Apply and Ok

Try that. If the tick is there as explained above, then everytime you open OE it will open that html background by default, removing the tick opens you in a plain message.
