| 1293140 | 2012-08-05 23:29:00 | So I am going to need a new PSU for my current pc soon when I pay my mate off for his 2x EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2. The pc is running a AMD Phenom x4 955 Black with 4gb of ram (soon to be upgraded) which psu would you guys recommend to run that gear with some headroom? Would prefer from PB because I have an account with them. |

I know it's tempting to buy a massive watt power supply, because you may one day buy that really expensive video card . However an appropriately sized power supply will likely be quieter, and require less cooling . Also a smaller power supply may be "greener . " I know from whence I speak: I bought a water-cooled 1,200 watt power supply monster for my previous PC . That's right: water-cooled power supply . All I accomplished was doubling the weight of my PC . My current ones are all 400 watts and less . |
