| 1292517 | 2012-08-03 07:31:00 | A friend is having a problem with his Toshiba Windows 7 Laptop - He is getting random BSOD's and after when trying to boot, it apparently comes up with some Boot Manager screen. He then said he leaves it for about 20mins and then turns it on again and the issue is gone. He says it's been happening since the start of the year, and the laptop is is about 1 year old. I went on via TeamViewer, and downloaded BlueScreenView - this is the error: 080312-43087-01.dmp 3/08/2012 3:48:21 p.m. CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION 0x000000f4 00000000`00000003 fffffa80`058b1b30 fffffa80`058b1e10 fffff800`02fe4510 ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0 NT Kernel & System Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Microsoft Corporation 6.1.7601.17835 (win7sp1_gdr.120503-2030) x64 ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0 C:\windows\Minidump\080312-43087-01.dmp 4 15 7601 275,056 BSOD Error Code: 0x000000f4 Caused by: ntoskrnl.exe Any solutions? | 1292521 | 2012-08-03 10:06:00 | Get the Mcafee removal tool, to remove the rest of it. (download.mcafee.com) <- direct link. That F4 stop error can be caused by Mcafee programs. Then reboot, then see if it crashes |

| 1292522 | 2012-08-03 10:23:00 | Does it have a SATA hdd or an SSD? It looks like you can get this stop error, when it comes out of sleep. Try this go into the BIOS, under power management. If its on S3, change it to S1. Then save the settings. See if it crashes | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1292523 | 2012-08-04 01:54:00 | Will try the McAfee removal tool. It has a Sata HDD, I'll try get him to change it to S1 in Bios. Thanks for the help. |
