2012-08-01 18:11:00 | It's just Hotmail with a new look and a new name. Reminds me of yahoo mail. | wmoore (6009) | |

2012-08-01 21:41:00 | Gmail is getting too cluttered for my liking, this Outlook is clean and elegant at the moment. | zqwerty (97) | |
2012-08-01 22:32:00 | gaarh I signed into outlook.com with my hotmail a/c, now Im permanently stuck with that interface. I cannot get back to the old hotmail/winlive, it sends me straight to that outlook.com Strangely, my hotmail a/c (via outlook.com) is now completely empty of email , all old emails are gone !! - I hardly used hotmail so no biggie, just a bit strange.

2012-08-01 23:48:00 | I've done a heap of googling over this new Outlook.com and so far I am not particularly impressed insofar as I doubt yet I even want to setup a trial account. I abandoned hotmail years ago ...or did they dump me ? cant recall, anyway MS hotmail was hardly the webmail service that gave me any confidence. So whats changed, everyones raving about a nice clean uncluttered interface but beyond that I fear this new service is designed for the YouTwitFace generation and is too interwoven with social stuff that I have 0 intererest in. As to the real practical stuff - How large an attachment (s) can I send with each email? Are there any limits to the mailbox size? What are the activity rules (if not accessed regularly)? Looking forward to reviews on the basic fundamental stuff compared to existing webmail options.

2012-08-02 00:14:00 | go into the settings and you can optout of the new interface hmmn, I dont have that option at all, I tried IE & firefox Also tried these instructions , but the option is not there answers.microsoft.com looks like hotmail emails have gone missing for a few users, been deleted somehow . Not a good look . MS should really clean up the hotmail operation in general, rather than just change the interface lipstick on a pig (as they say) :2cents:

2012-08-02 00:24:00 | Kinda seems all disjointed between the calendar, contacts, email, havent seen anywhere that you can sync with it all aswell (apart from skydrive). All a bit confusing really att his stage. | Iantech (16386) | |

Also tried it on windows 8 (IE10) and that's works nice as well. 4048 Tried it on the Metro App Mail- works good and non cluttered. No surprise it works OK on W8 - think about it - Its designed for it ;) |
