| 1292063 | 2012-08-01 05:43:00 | I have a friend who works for a large corporate (and whose IT department don't seem particularly keen to sort this for her). She has a PC with Office 2003 (SP3) and whenever I send her an email from my Gmail webmail client (or from my Gmail app on my phone), Outlook locks up. My Gmail webmail contains a signature with a URL link and a text box (filled with colour) - but I can't see why this would be a problem. Amongst all my email recipients, only this friend (annd her husband, coincidentally - although he works for a different company) has reported this issue to me. She has the Reading Pane switched on, Word is her email editor and she has the following add-ins istalled in Outlook: Symantec AntiVirus Outlook Protection Enterprrise Vault Delegate Access Deleted Item Recovery Exchange Extensions sommands Exchange Extensions property pages Server scripting (this one is NOT ticked) I have not yet been able to establish what browser she is using, but would assume IE - but would be guessing as to version. If I send her an email using Outlook 2007 (via Exchange at the client I am working at) there is no issue. Any guesses anyone? Anything to try (or even report to her IT department for them to follow up)? |

| 1292064 | 2012-08-01 08:24:00 | process of elimination really, What I would do: Send one from web based, but without your signature with a URL link and text box. "If" it works OK Then add back the signature and try again, if its OK try the text box after that -I wouldn't be at all surprised if Norton has something to do with it, it may be blocking something within your mails and throwing a sh1t Fit. only this friend (and her husband, coincidentally - although he works for a different company) has reported this issue to me. Since its happening to two different people at two different locations, then compare what they have in common, do they both have the same Symantec programs ? ( and I dont mean living together or bed room before some smart arse mentions it ) :p |
