When our children were young, we went out to dinner at night whenever one of the 5 of us had a birthday - to Macdonalds or Cobb and Co. Well, one Friday night I was having a few drinks after work when the barman took a call from Mrs Micro. He put his hand over the mouthpiece and asked me if I was here. "Yes!" I yelled out. "She wants to know if you're going out for dinner tonight" "Er... Um.. I dunno. Why?" "It's your birthday!" Yes, I had forgooten my own birthday! Mrs Micro was not pleased, said I should be reported to Social Welfare. "Three children starving at home while their father is stuck in a pub" |
