1268619 2012-04-11 08:34:00 Thats just great- not. So my package rolls over on the 27th I have to wait basically another month before I get it. For F's sake. Clod (7853)
1268620 2012-04-11 10:36:00 Last time Vodafone increased my cap, they didn't wait until the end of the cycle. Everyone had their cap enlarged at the same time.
What is the official reason for waiting until the next billing cycle?

1268621 2012-04-11 20:52:00 It may end up being mid-billing-cycle, but won't be before the end of April, as far as I'm aware. You should get a letter soon from Telecom talking it up... inphinity (7274)
1268622 2012-04-11 22:04:00 I'm still waiting to see if Orcon increases theirs without saying you have to have Genius.. paulw (1826)

1268624 2012-04-12 03:37:00 Just got a message from Orcon on Facebook about data changes in light of this move from Telecom.
Doesn't say much but the meaning is clear.

Me: The data increase that Telecom are giving out right now are very tempting. Is Orcon following suit to retain customers?
Orcon: Watch this space Paul!

1268625 2012-04-12 07:44:00 I think that if telecom are increasing their caps the rest will follow fairly soon.

Roll on that second fibre cable to the USA !

1268626 2012-04-18 08:13:00 It's confirmed, I got an email today:

"From 26 May 2012, we’ll automatically increase the monthly data allowance on your Total Home Broadband package from 60GB to 120GB. There’s no catch, and you don’t need to do a thing. If you'd like more information, please visit telecom.co.nz/moredata "

Just that it's not next billing month, it's the one after! Pfft.

1268627 2012-04-19 23:00:00 Just received my Telecom "double data" info yesterday .... starts 21st May. Funny thing is, they haven't throttled me back to dial-up speeds even though I went over my cap about 8 days ago. SP8's (9836)
