1268757 2012-05-06 22:19:00 As I used Clockwork Mod Recovery, isn't there a way to boot directly into the Clockwork Mod Recovery screen. Does anyone know how?
thanks

1268759 2012-05-06 22:54:00 A problem that I've encountered. When typing in fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, I get this. error:cannot load 'recovery.img'. How does one fix this? I also tried missing out that step and just going on on to'fastboot reboot'. Now I get a message that says 'waiting for device'. Nothing else happens. Any ideas or theories?

Thanks

1268760 2012-05-07 04:15:00 You'll need to be in the same directory as recovery.img, it can't find it on your PC, so try putting everything in to something like c:\Flashing
Then from your command prompt type:
cd \Flashing

And finally, run the command again

1268761 2012-05-07 06:06:00 Thanks Chill. Finally got it to reset, by using holding down the volume up and homebuttons, and then short pressing the power button. I now have a rooted phone with no custom ROM on it. I have tried again to install the cynogen mod on my phone, making sure to clear the cache first. It still didn't work, so I googled it to make sure it is compatible, which it is. Any idea why Cynogen isn't installing successfully? Nick G (16709)
1268762 2012-05-07 06:19:00 And does know of any stable mods other than cynogen that can be installed on vodafone 858?

Thanks
Nick G (16709)
1268763 2012-05-07 13:48:00 It's not CyanogenMod, there's no official port for the device, though it's possible somebody has taken the CM base instead of AOSP and used that.

This looks quite promising: forum.xda-developers.com AFAIK it's an NZ-based guy....
