Yet when I had my shoulder surgery under ACC which is counted as private I could just about ask for any drug I wanted as a painkiller, yet when I broke my elbow and had it pinned on the public service (same surgeon) I could only get Panadol go figure |

I had this problem when i was in hospital. Bad Appendix, they removed it. Pain came back 12 hours later. I'd rather not carry on with that story but its close to what your friend is suffering from (In the sense of the useless doctors/nurses in New Zealand). |

Hmmm. I have to say, with everyone's stories, it's put me right off going and seeing that surgeon again. I think it best to avoid hospitals at all cost until you have no choice. |

On the one hand they are worry, on the other they do a wonderful job as can be testified by many.
They don't seem to like dobbing the bad ones in, the nurses know who they are? |
