| 38626 | 2002-03-10 21:28:00 | I have an HP6L laser which is about 3 years old and onto its third (genuine new HP)toner cartridge. When I print, the type looks very 'thin' as if it is set to draft printing. For example, commas lose their tail and look like full stops (Times New Roman font), and the sloping down strokes of letters and numbers like y & 7 are so thin they are almost not there at all. Verticals are somewhat better as they are a little thicker anyway. Text on the test page also looks faint apart from the heading which is bold & black. If I try to print a .txt file off the net it is almost unreadable but the same page printed on my inkjet is fine. Settings are mostly defaults, with resolution at 600dpi, intensity halfway (increasing just makes some letters blacker)and graphics set to vector. Paper is new & dry but changing paper type doesn't help anyway. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Alex |

I've checked again and economode is nowhere to be found. Ideas anybody? Alex |
