38850 2002-03-12 03:37:00 I have run into a problem when trying to run Guest95 on my laptop to enable me to use my Zip 100 via the papallel port connection. Although I have successfully run this drive on this laptop before using Guest, it now says it cannot find (assign) an appropriate Drive letter.
On checking System Properties I find under SCSI Controllers - Iomega Parallel Port Zip Interface Device Status the following msg. 'This device is not present, not working properly or does not have all the drivers installed. See your hardware documentstion (Code 10)'

My Zip documentation does not enlighten me so hence I am asking for help from anyone who can assist. Thanks.

38851 2002-03-12 04:08:00 Brian, I've had similar problems with a Parallel/SCSI Zip 100 plugged into the laptop's parallel port. Get back to the non-Zip situation by using the Remove button in System Properties. Then do whatever worked originally - you may need to stop the machine, plug the drive in, and restart it. HTH, Nick. Thank you for your quick reply. After making the post I went into the Bios and played around with the Device tab, altering the settings on the Parallel Port. As a consequence things have worked. I suspect from the answer you gave, I have in fact done what you said but attacking it from another angle. Thanks for your help
